Christmas markets on squares of Czech Towns and courtyards of Czech Castles belongs to the atmosphere of Czech Christmas. The most beautiful Christmas markets in the Czech Republic, according to CzechTourism poll, are held in Prague.
The biggest Christmas Markets in Prague are on the Old Town Square (Staromestske namesti) and on the Wenceslavs Square (Vaclavske namesti). Both this markets will start on 27th November 2010 and finish on 13th January 2011.
The most attractive and most visited (also by local people) market is without any doubt on the Old Town Square, where you can see also the biggest Christmas Tree in Prague. You will find here many stalls with goods and refreshments. From the goods I can name for example: hand made Christmas decorations, made of glass, wood or iron; wooden toys; traditional souvenirs etc. On this market you can also watch some demonstrations of traditional crafts.
If you love Christmas spirit, feel free to visit Prague, you will not regret it. The Christmas time in Prague is really charming. The atmosphere of Prague’s Christmas Markets is comparable with Christmas Markets in Vienna or Salzburg in Austria.
